Group meditation classes / IMCW

I also offer group meditation classes and daylong and weekend retreats online and occasionally in person through the Insight Meditation Community of Washington. You can find out more about my schedule of group meditation offerings on their website: https://imcw.org

In addition, I am available to provide classes and retreats for businesses, not-for-profit organizations and civic associations. My workshops can be held online or in person, one-time or ongoing, and for any length of time, ranging from an hour to a full day.

I offer 60 minute sessions, once per week, which are customized for the individual. Sessions include yoga, breathing techniques, and meditation tailored to your needs in the present moment. Whether you are new to yoga or if you have an advanced practice, you will benefit from my one-on-one sessions. Mindfulness is infused throughout my work and the benefits go far beyond improved flexibility and physical strength. Clients experience greater mental and emotional well being, clarity, improved perspective on handling life's stressors and greater serenity to bring with them throughout the day.

Private yoga and meditation for individuals

With my yoga therapy training from Duke, I have the skills to safely adapt yoga postures for many conditions, such as osteoporosis, chronic or periodic back pain, sciatica, high blood pressure, sports injuries and those recovering from surgeries such as joint replacement (e.g., hip, spinal, shoulder, knee, wrist). A combination of gentle yoga and mindfulness training has been shown to be very effective at managing chronic pain including in conditions such as fibromyalgia.

We work on anything from prep for audition to theming and sequencing, working with special populations (e.g., pregnant people, elderly, wheelchair-bound individuals, obesity), trauma informed language, to developing your own meditation practice as well as being in the world with less stress and anxiety. I also am happy to share the lessons of my own 20+ year yoga journey and the paths that have been most fruitful for me. My goal is to support teachers in developing a yogic mindset and to know that teaching yoga is a joyful privilege and not another stressful activity. Typically mentoring sessions are 30 minutes and are scheduled biweekly or as needed.
